I've also been desperately looking for a home for him, either permanent or foster until I can find him a home. I moved a year ago and am now in a situation where it's absolutely impossible for me to take a new dog. I have a fragile 15-year-old dog as well as a pit bull I rescued five years ago. The place I'm in is very small, about 800 sq. feet, with only a small strip of a yard that hardly even qualifies as a patio. So there's no place for me to keep a new dog separated from the others.
I've been spreading the word everywhere possible. This past Friday a co-worker said one of her friends would foster the dog. So I rushed over to the pound and paid the fees to get the dog out. But the co-worker was wrong, and her friend will not foster the dog.
I pick up the dog tomorrow, and have made arrangements with my vet to board him for a few days while I make a last ditch effort to find a place for this poor little guy. Otherwise I will have no choice but to put him down. I figure at least he'll leave this world in the arms of someone who cares about him instead of in the gutter or in one of the pound's mass killings.
I will have my vet give him a thorough check up. The pound is neutering him and giving him all his shots. If there is any kind-hearted person out there who loves and, more importantly, understands dogs, and who can help, no words could ever express how grateful I would be to you.
A special thanks to you, "Hair," for agreeing to help spread the word.

Awwww if I lived in CA, I'd take him.
I live in PA and have a no dog clause on my lease. But bumping in hopes someone can help out with this little guy.
This little fellow has been through a lot these last couple of weeks. He's stunned and frightened. The person who takes him needs to be patient and understanding while he settles in to his new home or foster home.
Again, thanks to you all.
Thanks to you both. Prayers are also very welcome. I can't believe God protected this little guy on Good Friday only to have him die a few days from now for lack of a place to go. There must be someone out there this dog was destined to find.
I can offer up a small check to help financially if that would be of any use. Just freepmail me and let me know.
Good day, snugs. Just pining you for your info -- I'm trying everything I can think of. Sigh.
God Bless you
I know someone who wants one but could not afford the airfare to get him to Houston. Best of luck, he may have to live with you. I am looking for one from our area for this person.
There are numerous dog rescue organizations in your area, probably even one for the breed in particular. Since you are having all this medical work done, they should be glad to take the dog and find it a permanent home. Please look for a rescue organization to avoid putting him down. The vet may know of one. Good luck
I am in Orange County. If you cannot find a place for him, please contact me before the dog is destroyed.

Thank you so much. Unfortunately, right now all it would buy is maybe an extra day's boarding at my vet. But I will keep your generous and kind offer in mind just in case. (Big sigh.)
Try these guys. They're in Burbank.

Bumping for a miracle.
I would pay all shipping costs. What matters more to me is that whoever gets him is experienced with dogs. This little fellow will need some time to just figure out what the heck happened to him these last couple of weeks.
Good work on finding the rescue organization. Wolfstar - have you seen this information or tried this approach?
