EVERYONE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID. I hope you take Joy in knowing that within what was it about 30 Hours after BykerBayb, eeevil conservative and schmelvin did the leg work and reported back to us that yeah it looked like another person we denied sufficient nutrition under the care of a Hospice, Mrs. Mae Magouirk has been removed from the Hospice and is geting high level meical care, andimportantly nutrition.

I do NOT think it is an exageration that if it were not for we FREEPERS an old 81 year old woman would "Soon be meeting Jesus." Who know what the future brings, and in fact if Mae should soon meet Jesus at least it will be on a full stomach.

FOOD AND HYDRATION are Ordinary Care, and everyone is entitled to Ordinary Care.

I know exactly what you mean. I was the primary caregiver for my parents and grandmother. There were times a plenty that I wanted to say enough and I did have one incident with my father where I was ready to haul his a** to the nursing home, (he straightened up real quick after that lol), but every time I thought I could not continue to take care of them I was reminded of the verse in the Bible where we are told to put our faith into practice by caring for our elders.

3 The church should care for any widow who has no one else to care for her. 4 But if she has children or grandchildren, their first responsibility is to show godliness at home and repay their parents by taking care of them. This is something that pleases God very much. 1 Timothy 5:3-4

This nation has lost a great part of it's soul with the advent of the "Me" generation. They are the ones who threw away their own children and they will throw away their parents without a thought. I did give up a lot at the time but I also gained quite a bit too. I learned a whole lot from my grandmother regading money management and creative frugalness, family history, wisdom in so many different areas that is not being handed down to the next generation. We are losing a lot more than we realize and it will get ugly down the road.

One of the blessings was inheriting my fathers home and not having a mortgage to worry about. I did not take care of my parents and granmother for any financial gain but because they lived at home it did pay off as well. I lived with my grandmother while I finished college. It was a great trade off because she lived two miles from school. That saved me a whole lot of money.

The entire purpose of this thread was to save a woman's life, to call attention to her pain and peril, and to keep her from becoming yet another precedent that would enable thousands of other people just like her to be dragged to their deaths down this slippery, slippery slope.

If you want to gripe about Tom Delay and the war in Iraq, this is not the thread for it, nor the forum for it. We have been busy fighting a battle in another war here, in case you hadn't noticed.

Calling attention to Mae's starvation does not mean that people starving in Africa, for example, are any less important to us. But, no one can save the whole world; we do what we can, where we can. And, charity should always start at home. I think we have picked a good and noble fight. We are defending the most basic human right, the right to food and water in a land of plenty, for the most innocent and defenseless members of our society. We are also fighting for America's very soul. If you think this is not a worthy cause, then I pity you. You do still understand pity, don't you? At least on an academic level if not emotionally?

1501 Mae from Georgia was rescued from the LaGrange, Ga Hospice and is in a Hospital. I was asked to pass this along. I think the Schindlers may already know since David Gibbs was going to contact Mae's relatives.
