It ain't the supply of oil that is driving up gasoline prices. It is the supply of gasoline and more specifically the supply (or lack thereof) of refineries. If a flood of oil came on the market today, we could not refine it fast enough to ease supply shortages. As it is now, refineries have to coordinate maintence so that two or more refineries are not shut down at the same time.

You can also blame the high prices on state governments that require special unique blends for sale in their states. This prevents surplus gasoline in one region that is the "wrong blend" from being diverted to another region where supply is tight and prices have risen as a result.

there are no supply shortages that have not been imposed on the US by the Saudis, etc... there is a petition on this matter at the following address: http://www.petitiononline.com/gaslower/petition.html
please sign it, the Arabs have done this because they want MONEY MONEY MONEY AND MORE MONEY that is all they care about, they know that they have control over us and that they have something we cannot live without, and they are using it and us like guinea pigs to see how much they can push us until we break and they can destroy
and I think that that is their goal, to weaken and destroy America. they will have all of our money, and we will have to fight for every basic right we had to back in 1776, Hydrogen powered cars have come through the research banks and been turned down by the gov't. WHY??? the oil and gas lobby the US government is a whore, they are being bought and used bought and used, almost continuously and soon enough they will have been used too much and they will break. the entire country is under the impression that there is nothing they can do to prevent gas prices from rising, that is the only reason that the country does not revolt, I don't think that revolting is what needs to happen (anarchy would be worse than high gas prices) i do think that several petitions need to be signed and things need to be gotten into order, the government needs to know that we are sick and tired of their "there is nothing we can do" stories, they need to do something and they can do something, every viable solution that have reached the congressional doors has been shot down because of $$$$$$$$$$ in the pocket of our elected officials for them, their campaign, and the governments use, taxes are on the rise, gas prices are on the rise, and as a result of both, consumer prices are on the rise (recently Sam's club/wal-mart raised their item prices by 7% because of the height in gas prices) this is sickening, and something needs to be done about it, I have said this in every possible way I know how, and I am thinking of more ways to say it by the second, and I will continue to say it as I continue to think of more ways to say it
