Neil Young music was the music I learned to play guitar on when I was in the Air Force. (1975-79)

He put out a lot of good music including Zuma Beach, After The Gold Rush, Harvest, Long May You Run, (With Stephen Stills)and On The Beach.

My son just started playing guitar about a year ago, and has gravitated to Neil Young, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, CCR, etc. He finally got out of the hip-hop stage as he now appreciates good guitar music.

Congratulations on your son rising up out of hip-hop. The seminal musicians you list served me well when learning guitar as a teen.

Neil Young's "After the Goldrush" is right there with any album that can be put on a list from the '70s. His politics are convenient for a person from his period and considerable financial position. I will say he calls out hypocrites from the left, as well as the right.
