In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Subbie Slip has her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs today.
The rest of the stuff is locked up in my drawer. Im just letting all the new students know that we behave as if we were ladies and gentlemen in here. Those two words as if can get you an A if you make the subbie laugh.

Me, too, HD. The tears won't stop flowing.
I guess staying busy is the best therepy. Remember, three-star day, and we have use for that tonight!
i am not sad for Terri any longer. she is at peace. but i mourn for our country because of what it says about us that we allowed this to happen. and it disturbs me greatly to know that there are those among us that are not the slightest bit disturbed by it and saw "justice" done.

thanks for the post
I'm staying busy, my darling. It was such a shock. Tears have stopped. Terri's in heaven.
If you think you could use a bit of a chuckle today, see this.
i ALWAYS ask xshub why he isn't jumping up on me, wagging his tail and acting exuberant every time i come through the door! i am not huge into cuddling, i know that is supposed to be a woman thing, but i am not obsessed with cuddling. and loosh cuddles only if he feels like it. he wants to be in the same room with me, but not necessarily pressed up against me at all times.
It's so unsettling, to say the least, that some of us in here (WFTD excluded) just didn't really give a diddly twat what happened to her; and what the judicial branch of the government was trying to prove to us that life just ain't worth living if you're not 100 percent of what we're supposed to be. It's beyond my realm of comprehension.
Very well stated. Amen.
People are always describing conservatives as "angry white men." There is a popular notion that we "control" how we feel about things. I can't "control" the compassion I feel for her parents. I can't control the revulsion I feel towards the judges and the media who failed to see her humanity.
I am ANGRY. Full of fury and empowering rage. I cannot chose not to weep, but I will NOT "let it go." I will hold onto it, build on it and be moved by it. Moved to action. My prayer: Lord, keep me outraged. Keep me angry--not to destroy my soul, but to keep me from accepting the unacceptable--until the day your kingdom comes.Amen.
What about my Supreme Court question, it was actually a serious question.
the host was silent for a full minute and then just expressed his incredulity. that mindset, and i have seen it on FR, lo these past few weeks, is breathtaking in a civilized society.
The seminal moment in the Michael Jackson trial will be when he's forced to confront his five other young male conquests next week. This may be the second seminal event he's had with each of them.
Well done!
('Tis interesting to realize that, after the extreme pressure and screwtiny that the "honorable" Clinton White House (and their "unbiased" national press corpse allies) put on previous White House whistle blowers, Monica realized SHE needed absolute positive confirmation of Clinton's BJ's.
Or she too would become nothing more than his latest seminal receptable.
So she kept her stained dress. Disgusting, isn't it: the thongs she needed to do to protect herself from Hillary, from the President?
And, once the White House knew she had it, they stopped attacking her motives, reputation, and life.
now the legislation which Congress passed on Palm Sunday allowed for a de novo review of that case, which means a fresh set of eyes could look at those self same facts and conceivably arrive at the opposite conclusion. Whether because Judge Whittemore refused to find that there was any likelihood for success on the merits, which was the standard required for putting the tube back in, or whether it was inadequate briefing on the part of the Schindler's counsel, the de novo review did not happen. and again, review is only EVER on the basis of law never on the facts.
does that answer your question?
Ha - funny article - I don't have a dog, but my husband is great at cuddling -
i understand your anger, DG. if nothing else, maybe this case has served to put front and center this issue of LIFE, and to separate the wheat from the chaff in that regard.
No, no, no.
The Seminal Endians are the local gay group up inside the FSU campus.
Good Grief!
