Actually, the opposite is true. They can turn things out so quickly because they're a low-tech operation. The animation is all stop-action done with paper cut-outs.

Actually, the opposite is true. They can turn things out so quickly because they're a low-tech operation. The animation is all stop-action done with paper cut-outs. It was only like that for the first episode, and it took forever. After that it's been all computer. They actually had to tweak the video rendering system to cut the quality so that it would still look like jerky stop-motion cardboard animation. Did pretty well, huh?
