I WROTE: "Besides, the tube was put in for CONVENIENCE of the nursing staff, NOT NECESSITY!!!"

TRINITY_TX RESPONDED: "WRONG!...READ HER MEDICAL CHART!!!!...STOP LISTENING TO A FRAUD BY THE NAME OF HAMMESFAHR!"

Thank you for the link. I did read the report. Obviously, if someone is GASPING for air, you cannot eat/drink and breathe at the same time. My daughter is in ICU right now with an NG (nasal feeding) tube.

About 20 years ago, my daughter had a G-Tube (stomach feeding tube) put in, but it was REMOVED about three years later because she had learned how to eat and drink---BECAUSE OF THERAPY---and because she was no longer on the respirator. Right now, she is getting Bi-Pap (or B-Pap?) so she cannot eat or drink by mouth and therefore has the NG tube.

BTW, do you not think it strange and revealing that Michael---a medically trained person (I believe he was actually a RESPIRATORY THERAPIST at the time, but not sure)---who KNEW/KNOWS CPR---and who supposedly loved his wife SOOOOOOOOO much that he FAILED TO ADMINISTER CPR TO TERRI---and FAILED TO CALL 911???

EVEN MY FIVE YEAR OLD KNOWS HOW TO CALL 911!!!!!!! And this from a guy who supposedly "loves his wife?"

Michael CHOSE NOT to administer CPR! Michael CHOSE NOT to call 911!

He DID, however, waste at least 2 minutes calling Terri's Dad, claiming she was DEAD.

And it took at least 2 minutes for Mr. Schindler to call brother Bobby.

And it took at least 2 minutes for Bobby to get dressed (at 4 or 5 AM) as he was most likely startled awake and had to change clothes.

And it took at least 2 minutes to get to Terri's apartment from his.

There's a MINIMUM of EIGHT to TWELVE MINUTES WASTED!!! How long does it supposedly take for BRAIN-DAMAGE without oxygen? According to what I have read, SIX to TWELVE MINUTES!!!

If so, the MICHAEL is the PROXIMATE CAUSE of Terri's BRAIN-DAMAGE!!! And he should NEVER have been allowed to be her Guardian---from the first SIX MINUTES after the "incident" on---even if you don't believe there was foul play which caused the "incident" itself!

OK, I'm going to put myself on the line here and might look incredibly stupid... lol

First of all, according to Ohioan from Florida, her father said that Michael called him, told him she had fainted, then hung up and called 911 at his request. Her dad then called Bobby.

Michael was a restaurant manager when it happened. He might have had to take a cpr class for it. I don't know.

But I am a degreed health professional. 7 years of college, mostly health/science-related classes, and 10 years of yearly CPR tests to keep my license to practice.

And you know... I may be wrong, but I don't *think* you're supposed to do CPR on someone who is still breathing - even gasping. If any air is going in and out of their lungs... Even in my non-panicked state right now, I would not know what to do with Terri.

I experienced something similar with a family member who took an OD. When it happened, I just couldn't believe it - saw the note, saw the bottles, yet it took me forever to "wake up" and say - this is an emergency.

When I'm around people I don't know, I'm very rational. But when it is that close to home...and you aren't used to it, it's like denial sets in.

My own husband, who, considering the way he spoils me, must love me, lol... one night I fell and got a very serious concussion, losing consciousness for a few minutes. He patted me to "wake up", but once I could speak (barely), he just tucked me in and let me sleep. I never roused till morning when my sister called, and when he told her I couldn't open my eyes, she came and took me to ER - very angry with him. I had two ct scans showing bleeds on the front and back of my brain.

If I had died, or been seriously harmed, yes, he was stupid. But not criminal, and I know he was *mortified* when he realized how serious it was.

Anyway, we judge by our personal experience. That's mine. so I don't hold that *particular* thing against Michael Schiavo.

Other things, yeah. But not that.
