[VANITY] Anyone know how many articles about Abu Ghraib the NYT published?

I remember someone (perhaps it was the Washington Times) that ran an article which mentioned how many articles the NYT had about Abu Ghraib. They tallied the number of articles... could anybody help in finding something? Muuuuch appreciated!

Try www.MRC.com The Media Research Center, Brent Bozell's outfit, does a great job of tracking the MSM.

Think MRC's site devoted to the NYT is www.timeswatch.org and Clay Waters is the guy in charge.

It is amusing how they can't stop mentioning Abu Ghraib, no matter how irrelevant the comment. I remember reading a review of the horror movie "Saw" that mentioned it in the first paragraph.

Good comment.

I'm reminded of the hundreds of stories the Times wrote out the so-called "Tailhook Scandal" throughout the 1990's. For all I know they're still flogging that story today -- I stopped reading the Times closely years ago.

The way they hammer the U.S. military is a lot different from the velvet glove treatment of the UN and their sordid record of rape, exploitation, sex trafficking, etc. -- criminal behavior that still goes on today.

I doubt that anyone can count that high.

Don't know the total, but I remember that it was front page news for the Old Grey Strumpet for 28 days in a row.

I am rereading Ann Coulter's book "How To Talk To A Liberal"

She has even less use for the NYT than we do.

Just curious, but how do you like that book.

I just recently read Treason for the second time. I need to buy some new conservative books.

The book is great. There's a lot of her columns in it that I hadn't read and some columns that had been rejected by editors.

As I recall, In April and May 2004, the NYTimes had over 30 CONSECUTIVE PAGE ONE STORIES on Abu Graib and the prison scandals. .. more since then, of course, tough to keep count.
