Environmentalist Hypocrisy

Dear Sierra Club,

I am SHOCKED - SHOCKED at your anti-environmental, polluting, degrading attitude and practices. SHOCKED, I say.

1. I just joined the Sierra Club, and received my backpack today. It was enclosed in an inner PLASTIC bag, and shipped from YOUR OFFICE in an OUTER plastic envelope. These appear to be non-biodegradeable, and made from ::::gasp::: petrochemicals. (I feel faint.)

2. A few days ago, I received your Sierra magazine. Within your magazine are postcards and other advertising tear-outs. These extraneous materials required the death and destruction of living trees! Mother Gaia weeps! You polluting animals!

3. Your advertising section promotes polluting travel, whether by airplane, or ship. Travel to foreign lands worsens :::cough, cough:::: air pollution. It increases ::::sweat, sweat::::: greenhouse warming. Such travel further reduces the available supply of crude oil, forever removing it from future generations' use.

Indeed, how does one get an "ecotourism award" but by flying a jumbo jet which consumes ::::wiping away tears:::: hydrocarbons! There, I've said it!

4. Oh but you're not done yet. No, not by a long shot. You ALSO promote Hilleberg tents, for camping out, and Buff chairs for travel and camping, and Cocoon sleeping gear, and Northern Mountain Supply, and Dahon compact bicycles. All these things are for the patently wealthy, with time and money on their hands. Whatever happened to "Live simply, that others might simply live"? What happened to that! Why aren't all these so-called "environmentalists" sending off every spare DIME to India, and Africa? Huh? TELL ME ! ! ! People are STARVING over there, and here we have self-styled "ENVIRONMENTALISTS" lavishing money on hiking and camping and fancy gear, and travel abroad. Shameful, I tell you.

5. Better yet, why even PRINT a magazine! You consume hundreds, perhaps THOUSANDS of LIVING TREES to make paper for millions of magazines, when instead you could just direct your Tree Huggers, heading to Africa, or Costa Rica with their expensive camping gear, to a website. On your paper pages, are colorful inks, produced with :::UGH!:::: CHEMICALS!

::::Hard . . . to . . .. breathe . . . in ......the . . .. face . . . . of . . .. such . . .. degradation . . . and . . .. pollution . . .:::::

6. Finally, just to take one single article as an example, consider the remarks on Page 51, "Green-Collar Workers." Curt Greder, local Teamsters president at Bayway refinery, Linden, New Jersey, concludes: "I mean, we either pollute the earth or we don't - where's the choice?"

Deep, huh. When you live and breathe, you "pollute the earth." When you buy from one of Sierra Club Magazine's advertisers, you "pollute the earth." When the Sierra Club sends out another backpack, wrapped in TWO plastic bags, it "pollutes the earth."

Now, how do you like a dose of your own extremist medicine? Would you like some more? When it comes to "protecting our air and our water," one just CANNOT BE TOO EXTREME, can one.

What incredible hypocrisy is practiced by the Left to always pretend that it is environmentally correct, while maliciously impugning "right wing extremists" as "polluters" who are "poisoning our air and our water." What blatant, hateful, unctuous hypocrisy.

Never do "environmentalists" consider the costs of their proposals, however outrageous they are. A million dollars to save each white toed titmouse? SURE! Find an atom of "toxic chemical" in the air, did we? I know! Let's ban all vehicles and all businesses, forever. We'll just forage for food, and return to the idyllic status of hunter-gatherers, living in mud huts, and wearing loin cloths - made of fallen leaves, of course.

ahhhh , yes, the hypocrisy of the leftist and the environmentalist.
And why should we be shocked about this, we knew all along they we hypocrites.
They shove their agendas on us, and expect us to bear the brunt of the cost to live by their ways, but, do they actually live what they preach ?
They are nothing but a front, they are nothing but " USEFUL IDIOTS " by their communist leaders.
Their " TRUE " agenda is to cause all of us to spend a good chunk of our money on their environment extremist programs, to weaken the USA's G.D.P. , and to bring the USA down, down to a 3 rd rate country.
