It's a tough call. The Schiavo case raises just the sorts of question, moral and constitutional, that should be open for discussion.

It brings out such strong emotions, however, that such discussion becomes frequently impossible.

I've gotten flamed for posting Schiavo threads where, by posting an article, I'm prsesumed to endorse the content and share the authors opinion.

Still, I prefer the freedom of expression here on FR compared to the "Nanny State" at L.com.

I have almost quit posting on these threads. There is flame like quality that disallows discussion. It is like walking into a barn full of dry hay with a candle.

I wish they would add a 'reply to posted article' button. Many times I've blasted the poster, simply because there isn't any easy way to direct the blast to the articles writer.
