Just got to this thread and haven't read all posts, but---

Lucianne's decision is totally scary to me---jeez, since when did disagreements and debates become a "sin"---that is what is fundamental about our country, where no one king or dictator tells us what we must and must not think or talk about---

Please, any of you Freepers that agree with Lucianne's policy ought to think twice....a long time ago I tried to sign up on that site and was told it was "full up, no openings for new posters"---Whats up with that? and before you ask, NO this "rant" is not because of that---

I found FR because Lucianne turned me down, and it is the best thing that has happened to me and that is why I am so adamant about NOT stopping any debate on this our any other subject---that thought is scary beyond belief, IMHO

Lucianne used to post here. She started her own site probably in 98 or 99. They run a very tight ship, and, as such, it's a bit stifling. Also, this site used to have a link off of Drudge, but he took some exception to some attacks by posters here. I guess the point would be that people have the right to say what they want here, but when we offend Matt or Trixie, etc. we can expect them to exercise their rights too. If this site were still linked to off of Drudge, we'd get more visits. But the site has grown so much due to gifted posters - Buckhead, for example - that have put it in the news, that it's probably not as big of deal.

Catch your breath. Lucianne owns her site, she has always been strict about it, she hasn't called anyone a sinner and if she owns it, she can dictate what is talked about.

She can have whatever site she wants. I visited there a couple of times and found it boring. On the other hand, there are lightly-moderated forums that have been taken over by the wackos. I like the way FR does it. Expunge the wackos and racists but don't kill topics.
