I never even heard of Jane-ane until I saw her in a movie about a high school reunion. She was endearing as the odd person, neither fish nor foul, in a group mindlessly pursuing naked materialism or pretending to.
I had never seen her before or since. I must have been sick (not drunk) when I saw her in that movie, since that is the only time I will watch anything.

Now she pops up on what I call the Bevis and Butthead radio hour. I forced myself to listen a couple of hours a day for about a month, but I could stand only so much of juvenile name calling and hyperbole.

It gets old really fast, and there is nothing "endearing" about it.
