The problem with pardoning her is that she is not being punished for a crime.

I have heard it suggested that she be declared an enemy combatant. Then they would have to take her into custody. Can't be too careful you know. And of course, we would have to respect her rights to food and medical care while she is in custody.

Don't think that will happen either.

Correct, she is not being executed for a crime, hence can't be pardoned for a crime.

She is being executed because her brain is damaged and her husband wants her dead.
