Just watched rerun of O'Reily interview with Dr. Gomez of Capital Hospice. Dr Gomez said Terri Schiavo to be given morphine to insure no pain as she dies.
I have been throught this with hospice services for family member. This is not good for Terri, morphine helps pain, but also will kill her faster as kidneys fail from dehydration. Her body will not flush morphine and it will build to lethal level in body. Which is great if you are slowly dying in great pain from bone cancer
My experience with this says Hospice and Michael Schiavo are helping Terri die as quickly as they can. God Bless Terri and her family.
How much? A quart?
Disgusting.
Did Captain Phonesex ask Dr. Mengele why a supposedly brain-dead person needs relief from the pain of this 'humane' death?
Guess the dehydration euphoria isn't getting the job done.
It is to stop her breathing.
Remember: The feeding tube was NOT for the patient but for the convenience of the Hospice staff
run by ... the Lawyer, the Judge, and the Judge's wife.
Ain't that special?
Come on, Jeb Bush. There is no TIME.
If Terri dies, an immediate homicide investigation needs to be opened, on the grounds that she was murdered with the morphine.
This is fascism revisited. Throw wide the doors of nursing homes and start taking out the elderly. In my opinion, this is what this precedent this sets.
This can't be. Mikey and Felos assured us Terri is not conscious, does not react to stimuli, and her death is peaceful and gentle.
A person in that condition doesn't need morphine.
Another Dr tonight said that morphine was not the drug of choice in this situation, and she would probably be given another drug.
So, I think he either misspoke, or was just using terms laypeople would understand.
Yes, of course.
What a fine bunch of Nazis.
Yes, this is to kill her. I am surprised that they announced it -- very surprised.
Strange. All the MSM has talked about is how starvation is painless and euphoric. You mean they lied?
Did we watch the same interview? The doctor said that very small doses of morphine are given, that he prefers to give anxiolytics, rather than opiates. He said that only very small doses of opiates are needed.
And this doctor is not one of Terri's doctors, he was just on to give his professional opinion.
If they wanted to end her misery, they should have just given her a shot of glass cleaner.
I though Felos and MS told us:
1. PVS patients feel no pain.
2. Dehydration/starvation is a painless, even euphoric, way to die.
Which statement is true: "She feels pain." "She doesn't feel pain."????
And for the same purpose.
It is now Good Friday on the East Coast...I fear that this is the day she will pass.
Captain Phonesex LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
