APRIL

Through the meadow April comes,
Leaving, as he passes,
Companies of daffodils
All among the grasses.
Tulips round about the door,
Ranged in martial order;
Violets in sweet array, Up and down the border.
And beside the lily-pond,
Mindful of its sleepers,
Guards of light frittillaries,
For its fairy keepers.
Sow your fine chrysanthemums
While he blithely passes,
Dahlias too, and thrift, to blow
All among your grasses.

Good morning, Sam.
Lovely April poem today! Perfect graphic, too.
Great tunes as well.
Thank you for all!

Good evening Ms. Feather.
Beauty and love are all my dream; They change not with the changing day; Love stays forever like a stream That flows but never flows away;
And beauty is the bright sun-bow That blossoms on the spray that showers Where the loud water falls below, Making a wind among the flowers.

April is Poetry Month
The Frog by Hilaire Belloc
Be kind and tender to the Frog, And do not call him names, Or likewise "Ugly James," Or "Gap-a-grin," or "Toad-gone-wrong," Or "Bill Bandy-knees": The Frog is justly sensitive To epithets like these.
No animal will more repay A treatment kind and fair; At least so lonely people say Who keep a frog (and, by the way, They are extremely rare).

Daffodils

I wanderd lonely as a cloud
That floats on high oer vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretch'd in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed -- and gazed -- but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

When I Heard the Learnd Astronomer
Walt Whitman, 1819-1892
When I heard the learnd astronomer,
When the proofs, the figures, were ranged in columns before me,
When I was shown the charts and diagrams, to add, divide, and measure them,
When I sitting heard the astronomer where he lectured with much applause in the lecture-room,
How soon unaccountable I became tired and sick,
Till rising and gliding out I wanderd off by myself,
In the mystical moist night-air, and from time to time,
Lookd up in perfect silence at the stars.

A Class in Wisdom
Like sand slipping through Fates ancient hourglass,
time flows past me at its own speed, never to return.
I have studied much of life along the weary way,
only to discover there is oh so much to learn,
and every bitter-sweet lesson has a price, alas!
Wisdom is the sum of knowledge learned along the way,
from sometimes complex experiences we moved through
And as each moment lived its time and then did pass,
all too oft, that experience was bad, yet wed still do,
for the moments grand they encompassed, we still will pay.

'feather,
Just stopped by to see what one of my favorite ladies is up to!?! (Do you need any bail money?) Here is a little something I offer as a small gift to a Lady of the Order of the Dragonfly.
Mistress of the Heart
She walks beside sun drappled waters,
her hair tossed by dancing breezes,
each lock caressing her with gentle touch.
She moves with dancers grace,
flowing through each moment,
in the ballet of life, her masterpiece.
She captivates, titillates, and subjugates,
and I the willing, oh so willing slave,
to her soft domination of my will.
She is all women, any woman,
the sum of her parts and needs,
love personified in the physical.
She is, and I am swept away in her,
the magic that is her, in the world of me,
an overpowering and perfect love.
To: WayzataJOHNN
Good evening!!
Nice to hear from you again.
