The judge following the letter of the law at the expense of a human life is akin to the Boards of Education that tinker with teaching methods to instill PC in the curriculum, while year after year many students are not being taught basic capabilites.
The Boards of Education respond that will keep changing it until they get it correct, but meanwhile many students will not get a second bite at the apple, but the system will return! So also when new laws are passed, the next victim will be treated differently, but Terri will have been executed!
It's too bad Terri can't be defined as an animal, then the Florida Government Enterprise would bend over backwards to save her life!

I don't think the judge followed the letter of the law. I suspect that if the law is changed, it won't be for the better. In fact, in all likelihood, the decision will stand as a precedent for the next euthanasia circus.
