The annulment wouldn't work for him because he testified in the malpractice suit that he intended to honour his marriage vows and care for her for the rest of his life. "Remembering" in 97 that she'd want to die was his only route.

Using that timeline, I'd have to agree. Also, if Terri was the Catholic and not him, I'm guessing she'd be the one who would have to petition for the annullment. What I wonder now is, would the church be willing to grant an annullment on her behalf today, in the interest of saving her life? Wouldn't the sanctity of life trump all else?
Of course, I realize the judge has already denied Terri her Constitutional right to receive the Eucharist (free expression clause); why should I expect this to be any different? Judicial tyranny is going to be the death of this once proud nation, and hardly anyone, including too many here, can see it coming.
