Mr. Schiavo lost all his claim to sanctity of marriage when he broke his marriage vows by having numerous affairs and children out of wedlock.
We need a deeper understanding of the State's assertion of its sovereign right. Staying with these smaller questions will never result in seeing what is really going on.

I would have done what my sister-in-law did when my brother was in this same situation. She had the decency to divorce him and give guardianship to my mother.

Well, I'm from Washington state but I spent a number of years in the South (Virginia, Georgia, Louisiana) and I was taught that "y'all" was singular and "all y'all" was plural. Was I taught wrong?

I just heard Judge Robert Bork explain how far we've fallen into the abyss of being ruled by judicial fiat and how this treatment of Terri is a travesty and a tragedy.
