IF Terry dies, does her "husband"'s total control over her come to an end?
Could her family ask for, and obtain, an autopsy?

Her "husband" will have her cremated immediately.

He has already sought and received an order from, who else - Greer - that she will be cremated immediately, as I have read.

I just heard from Glenn Beck that the husband went to the judge and requested that she be able to be cremated with no autopsy and the judge of course granted the request last week. So it appears there won't be unless something else happens.

Could her family ask for, and obtain, an autopsy? Autopsy is up to the County Medical Examiner. She cannot be buried or cremated until he signs off on it.
He can hold a Coroner's Inquest, which is a form of Grand Jury, he can do an Autopsy, or he can do nothing and sign off on the death certificate from the hospice.
Her parents, or anyone else can petition for an Inquest or autopsy. If there is a suspicion of foul play, it should be granted. If she had any life insurance, Michael Schiavo's lawyer says not, the Insurance Company will insist on an Autopsy before paying, because if Michael was responsible, then he cannot benefit from the proceeds.
