Michael Schiavo sympathizers: What will you do when Terri dies?
Self

Posted on 03/24/2005 8:34:20 AM PST by ElkGroveDan

I suppose those of you who are siding with Michael Schiavo are feeling smug today.

I have to ask a question that I wanted to ask when little Elian Gonzalez was whisked away to the island gulag. Will you cheer? Will you celebrate?

The reason I ask is that we certainly will celebrate if we win. If Terri is somehow saved from this horror at this the 11th hour, those of us who are fighting for her life will cheer and clap, some of us will cry and many of us will fall to our knees in thanks to Our Lord!

How will you feel if your side wins? What exactly is it that you have won?

Finally a post I can read with some sanity and so tear myself away from the machine and hope for no more posts today...don't we all have something else to be done?

Anyone?

Unfortunately I do mean Pennsylvania. I caught the tail end of a report on FOX about it yesterday. Apparently someone wants to remove the feeding tube from an alzheimers patient.

The case against MS is all based upon lies. There is no truth in it but the Mob doesn't care. This has been sheer insanity for the last month about something which happens hundreds of times every day in this country.

Why all this Worship of the Body when the Spirit has long departed by religious people? Remarkable.

Terri has been gone for 15 years. Her remnants are not that important to one who believes in an eternal life after death.

A dozen years ago, her rehabilitation stopped. I believe that coincided with the malpractice settlement.

A ventilator is an invasive mechanical device that does your breathing for you. It has to be constantly maintained by technical personnel--or the patient will choke. That's why you can't have one at home...I don't think hospices have them as a general rule, but I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong.

If the patient is conscious, he will have a terrifying sensation of drowning. It is unconfortable, even painful.

They can save lives. The problem is in how tortuously they can prolong life.

There is a huge difference in being fed through a tube and being respirated. That's why the forces of Kill Terri Now keep deliberately confusing them...

You will see few like it since most are either baying with the Mob or afraid to incur its viscous attacks on those who are not True Believers.

Ugh. I know there is no cure for Alzheimers but still that is wrong. I'll have to google this one down. Think about it, if we had Judge Greer deciding Ronald Reagan's fate, he would end up killing him too. If Terri passes on, I hope we wake up and pass laws to protect people from this so it doesn't happen in the future.

The doctors told MS at that time to let her go but he refused and continued to work to try and get her better for almost five years until he had seen how his parents passed without suffering when they were not maintained in this state. It was only then that he determined that Terri would not suffer and accepted the inevitable.

Don't buy the Lies which are spread justifying the attacks on MS and the Judicial system. That is all they are, Lies.

And it took yet another two years before he remembered her wish to die.

I think the fact that the President and the Governor did get involved, is what gave the libs their chance to get even.

"I have a theory. If we'd had Fox News and Michael Savage 15 years ago like we do now... we wouldn't be here today."

My take is that the problem is that we have politicians that have abdicated their responsibilities. They allow judges to create legislation and both sides use that to play to their audience: "We must be elected to stop activist judges" or "We must be elected to stop conservative judges". All the while they fiddle Rome burns.

They can wash their hands, but they can't remove the stain. The legislative and executive branches have options; they put on a show for the faithful but they're now "leaving it to the courts". Pontius Pilate washed his hands, too. At least he asked "What is truth". As Andrew Jackson is thought to have said about a SCOTUS decision "They've ruled, let them enforce it".

Suppose the court had said "Okay dude, go bust a cap in her head". Would anybody be torn on the issue (or admit to it anyway)? Hell no but it's the same end, only more humane.

We let this happen. We let politicians get away with blaming stuff on "activist judges" when they should have been doing their job and whipping the judicial branch back into it's Constitution role but no, that way they'd have to take an actual position.

The frog has been in the pot for so long it's far too late. Maybe it could have been stopped 30 years ago, but the water is boiling and until we elect politicians that will rein in the judicial, even if it means cutting their funding, the people have lost.

Shed tears for the Schindler's (and I include Terri, she shouldn't be stained by her "husbands" name) and shed tears for the country that we've given away.

How do you know that? Because her husband says it!
There are as many experts who say she is not PVS as those who say she is ... again how do you know? Are willing to starve her to death because you think that maybe she is gone? Why is it so important to you that she die?

I guess it makes you feel creepy cheering for the death of an innocent woman, doesn't it? Sorry, I won't stop speaking out about injustice against innocents.
