Actually, my hair started thinning a few years ago so I shave it every day with a Mach 3 razor...I love it.

Bald is not bad - so I tell men they should just "give it up NOW" when they start balding rather than trying to cover it up in myriad ways (1 guy I dated held onto those scraps up top - pure black hairs on a pasty white head - even brushed back, looks like yucky pubies! Stop!!). SHAVE IT OFF, I say, until it actually isn't growing any more!
