At some point, it isn't obvious why one would even bother wearing them at all.

Pretty much what I was thinking.
The leg strap wraps under the butt cheek and would, so one would think, inch downward.
Plus the stitch junction between strap and, er, 'modesty' cotton covering would be uncomfortable I assume.
They may even lever forward and uncover stuff should you lean forward.
'Course, I haven't seen them in use yet, so when the product feedback comes in will be educational.

Some women are comfortable wearing no underwear (Ashley Judd's infamous award show peekaboo comes to mind...), but for me, I wear jeans all the time, and the denim would just be too rough on that particular part of my anatomy. Unless I switch to skirts/dresses all the time (which will never happen), panties are a must.
