I think if you hear any gut sounds you're okay as far as colic goes. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I KNOW with gas colic that you will hear too much gut sound, but I don't think that is the case here. His gut sounds sounded normal too me.

The only thing I can come up with is ulcers, that flair up at times (why I have no clue), BUT, last summer when I had bloodwork it came back negative for ulcers....I've wondered how reliable those tests are??? If I did bloodwork now would it show something different???

~sigh~ I want to be a responsible horse owner, but, damn I hate paying vets to have them tell me their not sure, try this, try that....

Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming them for not being able to know for sure, it's just I can try this and that, rule things in or out, with out the cost of a vet. If he got down and was rolling around or things like that, I'd call. But not eating....IMO it says "something" is wrong, but I haven't seen where a vet could really pin point the problem.
