There's only 2 kinds of pony, those that have foundered and those that haven't yet but are going to.

Oh don't say that!

Seems like the pasture is all weeds, but it's lush with them. I think we should put them in at night, just to get them off of it for 10-12 hours and eating some bland hay. We'll have another month or more of this lush stuff before it starts to dry out and then turns to dust by July.

When I check next time I'll feel for the pulse. Pony's feet were actually cooler than the others.

Any validity in this idea that I have that their feet will get hot?

With the grass this lush, do you still give them grain? I'd cut the grain out for the months that you have good grass.

Yeah, feet do get hot when they founder, but I don't know if what you are describing would happen.
