If the stallion owner isn't set up to take samples, they are a little hard to get.
Ohmygosh!!!! You should have seen the wreck I saw today. You know I said I was riding with my neighbor who had the horse that was so bad that one time. Her name is Tina, her horse is Oreo.
He was bad again today, altho I think Tina started the problem. She committed the mortal sin of mounting her horse with him still tied to the fence. I've seen her do that before, but it's hard to tell some one that that is not right. A T-post barbwire fence. I don't know what started it, but Kristy thinks she pulled back on the reins, anyway the horse freaked, It was by a telephone post too. The horse was jumping back, but the rope jerked him back forward. He crashed hard two times head first into the pole. I don't know how Tina managed to stay on. I thought she was going head first into the pole or off the side onto the Tposts. The halter got pulled so tight on the horse he couldn't breath and just fell over onto his side. Tina's foot was stuck under him. Took her awhile to get it out. Kristy and I got off our horses and went to try to help but our horses started wondering off down the drive. Oreo was still down with the halter pulled tight. Kristy was trying to help her and I was rounding up our horses. Tina finally managed to pull the bridle off, and once it was off, he got up.
She was pretty shook up but got back on. He jigged and spun around all the way down the road which was scary as it was slippery. By the time we got to where the trails started he had finally calmed down. He was fine the rest of the ride. But it was sure a scary start. I hope she learned not to leave her horse tied when she gets on.
