This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Good for you leading your horse. There is a huge learning curve with horses:)
Farriers are a whole breed of people all their own. I have the same one I've had for years, but we've come close to blows a few times:)

Good job! Mine need feet work this week too. They are looking dry. Okie has threw one and Sarah Lee's just slide over. It hasn't even been 6 weeks either. I think it's time for the oil again.
I will have to check out the rest tomorrow. Can't wait to see them. No rain either! Wonderful.
I'm waitin' I've got nowhere to go, and no one else to talk to - hubby's snorin' on the couch ;~D

LOL, that is exactly what I am doing. I come in and check to see if it is done loading, then go sit on the swing on the patio:)

Your new camera probably takes really high res pictures... you might be able to speed up the upload by saving the copies you are going to upload down in size if you wanted... do you have any photo editing tools... Photoshop or Paint or any software that came with the camera?

Nice pics. When we first downloaded from Emmas new camera it took forever because we had it on high resolution. We have found out that we dont need it and that the photos turn out fine on medium. They download a lot faster! : )

This is a TV tower that is on his land. It is one of our major stations. I can see this tower from my house.
This is Beth and her son Michael. I had them stand there so you could get an idea how big that rock is. It was very long too, and look like it and just been stuck in there.

No there was only about 25 riders. Beth was exaggerateing as I suspected:). This was also NOT an AQHA trail ride. I don't know where she got that from. These people are just trying to start up some pleasure rides on special days. They said they may try to have another on Father's day weekend.
