This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Today was a fun day . Horseless, but fun. Three of us drove to an inservice about 3 hours away. Funny. Three 50 plus women smoking (2nd hand for me) and singing with jimmy Buffett and Janis Joplin. We must have been a site to people passing:') It was fun though.

Great pictures! I noticed on our local radar that you have been getting quite a bit of rain. We haven't gotten squat all spring. I always look forward to spring, I love the storms, but so far we've only had one and it was in the middle of the night. Bummer. It's humid as all get out, though. The air is so thick you can hardly breathe.
I need to post some more pics of the indoor arena going in. Sure is big. We looked at the plans at the city hall and it's a combination arena, barn and house. There is a concrete slab on the far end of it, I'll use my zoom lens today and be nosy.
Probably - we have the choice of Saturday or Sunday... If tomorrow ends up rainy.
I figured since it seemed to stay cool longer then usual, we'd go from winter to summer and skip spring. We had a litle bit of spring, but nearly as much as I would have liked. I think I heard them forecast last night hot weather. Oh well, that's better then cold.
The big arena sounds really nice. I'd like to see pictures.
