This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

I'd go ahead and pay the entry if I were you then. By three days prior you should know if making it will be possible and just in case it fills you won't be left out.
As I recall, my horse did bend and she was so low in the bend, my inside foot would nearly scrape the ground. I do remember seeing horses that would pivot and although it might be faster, it's not as pretty. Know what I mean?
I need to get my husband to hook my scanner up so I can post some old pics. I don't have any barrel racing but I have some really good rearing pics. I didn't teach that mare to barrel race but I taught her to rear! Darn near got me killed when she went over backwards but it makes a spectacular picture!

Yeah I saw that. I'm disappointed too. He meant no harm, and he really was a hoot. I wonder if we can send a note to the Mods to get Kieth reinstated? Though I'm not sure how much good that would do.

LOL looks like I'm about too! I was just about to go out and give the horses their afternoon feed and the heavens have opened! Wish I had a boat.............I am going to wait till Emma and Jacob get home in 30 mins, they can save Tommy from getting wet and the kids will have a scream looking out of the window, watching me getting soaked out there! : D

I dont know how this thing works, but surely the ban is temporary, I mean I've come accross some pretty rude and offensive people on Freerepublic and they are still going strong.......
I just looked at the radar and it looks like y'all are getting a good soaking. It's clear as a bell here and about 73 degrees. It's supposed to stay this way until the middle of next week. I'm glad coz I'm taking a day off tomorrow and plan on riding both Friday and Saturday. Maybe y'all will be getting our nice weather by tomorrow. :o)
Good luck on staying dry while feeding the horses in the rain. I never seem to be able to. Just don't get struck by lightening.
That's what I was thinking. I've seen some really serious jerks that personally attack people and they are still posting away.
I did send a note to the mods but I haven't heard back. I told them we all like Keith and he's harmless. If anybody else wants to freepmail the mods it might help...
I was going to suggest that, but I didn't know if that was an ok thing to do, or even suggest. Higher-ups can get pretty thin-skinned sometimes.
Not sure if it will work, they have the ISP address that you post from and would probably know that someone was trying to sneak back in.
I hope Keith can get back in as Keith.
