This is all good to know. Her sire is a bay leopard so bay would make sense wouldn't it? I'm so impatient with the baby hair, I want them to shed out immediately so I know what I have :)
11 months of waiting... and then more waiting ;~D
BTW - all's quiet on the hormonal front this morning, the mares are still in heat but Bay's not real interested.
Perhaps I gave him too many of his feel-good pills yesterday ;~D
LOL! I kinda gathered that. It'd be kinda like learning how to drive at Daytona. ;o)
Yeah, me too, but sometimes I get impatient and a good body clip will sometimes give you sneak peek.
All in the name of imprinting! It's vital that baby learn about clippers, right?
I'd cut and paste, but the photo site has it copy-protected (and at those prices, I can see why!)
I've looked but can't find where you posted her pictures at, post another of her. If her daddy is bay then yes, it would make sense to me that she could be bay.
I know with Dot we were anxious too for the baby hair to shed, we hoped that just maybe since she was lighter then her momma that she just might be buckskin. She's a bay, but she is different then her momma when they are standing together.

Rusty did fine, we did 1/2-3/4 mile trot and he never locked up, altho I did feel a hitch once or twice. Which caused me to make a decision. There are just too many issues with Rusty for me to be able to ride him with out worrying about every little ole thing and to spend the money on that clinic, and get him down there and he
crash on me.
I want to take Harley to that CTR anyway, so I'm going to focus on him, work on barrels too and he's going to the clinic. The slight uncomfortableness I have with him is all in my own silly mind, the horse has never done anything at all crazy. He's just taller and is so easy to get him to go, and looks so athletic that I just think what he could do if he was a crazy:)
I do believe that if I got out there and started putting lots of miles on him, I would get over this, so that's the plan (for today anyway:).
I'll keep riding Rusty to keep him impoving shape wise, but I"m telling Mack I really want him to concentrate on getting him sold. As long as he is here I'll prefer him. I don't need two.

It wants me to enter an "event code". What should I enter?
All the best, not matter what you decide! How would you market Rusty? As a trail horse, possibly barrels, or all-around horse open to new things.... what's his best niche market?
Sorry, should have told you that. I bypassed it on my computer, thought you could get through that way too.
LOL! Yes, most definately! Better now, when she's little and doesn't know to be afraid of anything, than later when she's bigger than me and can knock my block off.
In that case, enter the site then go to page 11 and look at the last pic on the page. That would be us. The previous pic is my daughter riding my trainer's little Appaloosa who thinks he's a great big Hanoverian . . . you wouldn't believe his extended trot. He also has an actual tail with more than 5 hairs in it . . . < /hunter-jumper people's anti-App prejudice . . . >
Good picture! What were you jumping over?
Gracie was a little blown, so I jumped where the top rail was off < g >. Next time, we'll go for the big section (and I won't gallop her so hard before we get there.)
I just found power points. I'm doing a presentation tomorrow. I love it. I worked 3 hours for free on it Fri. Anyway, I was looking in CDC for some stuff and that site amazing. They track everything including horse riding accidents. Of course they don't know how many people really ridr so they have to guesstimate but it was really interesting.
Sheets are usually soft. It's the towels and jeans that you can whistle for and have them walk into the house:')
It is an interesting site... I've browsed there for dog bite info before.
Towels are the ones I can't stand from the line. I could use them to sand the callouses from my feet. ;~D
It did dump me to the title page and it took me a minute to realize there was more. All the pics are good. I watched the slideshow. The one of you looks good to me. I like the one of the little App. He looks like he's taking that fence as if it had two rails instead of one. The countryside in the pictures is beautiful. I can't imagine a better thing to be doing on a pretty day like that than galloping over nice open fields like that. Thanks for sharing! :o)
