*New* The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

ROTFL. This one new but they have already had several riots and a couple of escapes. I'm about 5 miles away but I keep things locked up anyway. It's the traffic that is brought in that bothers me the most. All criminals aren't behind bars.

Sure... Maybe yours would behave better than mine. I tried all three, they all just walk around too much and get into stuff. Dang unreliable lawnmowers!

Looks like you have alot of grass there. Is that the new spot you planted?

I don't think its' going to be severe weather today, it's just not getting warm enough. But it is gray and overcast. We got tied up in town running our errands and was alot later getting home. I had to cancel riding with the neighbor.

We're still having trouble finding away to get the camera/printer hooked up. Mack is getting ready to go back to town (3rd time) for another hookup or something. The hub we bought awhile ago won't fit. Hopefully whatever he is going to get this time will work, and we may be picture post ready again by tonight.

I'm tired. I've walked about 6 miles today. Trying to live healthy can be dangerous. I had a 3 day splurge while I was out of town and trying to really cut back on what I eat before I weigh in Tue so this Morning I went walking. About 4 miles to Walmart. A few houses down from me a brush hog threw out a rock and it hit me in the side. A little ways down a fire truck passed and showered me with gravel and dirt. I persevered though. I had to walk facing traffic. Too scary the other way. People were running up on me. I think riding horses safer than walking now days:')

I've been putting up temporary fence this weekend for the same reason.

No that's an older spot of grass that just needs mowed. Still have the newly planted area fenced off, it's still pretty tender.

We had my happy birthday here today (and ecurbh's, cuz his is coming up in two weeks) and we got a new camera! One very similar to my Dad's that we borrowed for the trip.

Very glad to have it, because I just know ours was soon going to die! WOO HOO! Will take some new horse pics tomorrow to try it out.

I hope you got your printer/camera/computer cord figured out today.

No sidewalks I take it? Glad you made it through ok. I went shopping today as well. A big outlet mall place that's all open air. It's just this huge place with wall to wall shops. Because it was such a nice day, the palce was packed. I ended up putting a few miles on today just walking around.

I hope you make it a point to go to the Kentucky Horse Park. You will love it, and plan for the whole day.
Thanks for asking about my health. No, I don't feel any better. It's been a beautiful day, and I was in bed all day. I got up to have some soup. It's back to work tomorrow, so I better get better.

I think he has everything hooked up, not sure, and am afraid to ask:) growlly noises coming from the office. I think he is trying to get the program to load that runs the printer????

But everything, it sounds like, is not working well. He had to beat on it with a hamer to get the CD tray to open...not a good sign.
