This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
AWWWWWW. Another little baby! She's sooo cute! (and I'm sooo envious)
What a pretty baby! How's Bob? I'm glad that filly ended up being ok. (Which isn't to say that I'm glad that Bob got hurt!) ;-)
Goodness what happened to the Freeper?
Congratulations on the pretty foal. What a stressful delivery and painful delivery for Bob!
How's everyone doing this morning?
What a pretty girl! Looks like she'll be a roan like her mother, but maybe a darker chestnut color. Congratulations!
She backed her van over her 2 year old daughter.
I did go look up what you were referring to. Terrible tragedy.
In the category of small successes, I was able to get Homer's drops in him this morning without the downers.
By tonight, he'll need a cleaning, which is another step and he might stress that without the downers, but it's good that he's had his morning treatment and is still awake to live the day!
Can you post the link?
Thank Goodness for small Blessings. Gidget should be happier today because of it. :o)
Previous thread: Prayer Needed: 2yr old girl run over by family member
I think I read that wrong, it wasn't Kentucky who ran over the child, it was someone else and Kentucky posted it. Is that correct?
I think you're right... It wasn't Kentucky but someone he knows.
As a mother of 5, what that family must be going through is beyond comprehension.
It is absolutely awful particularly for the mother. I don't know how you go on to have a healthy attitude about ever driving again, ever letting your kids go out.
So sad! I can't even begin to imagine it. Thanks for the link. I'll pray for her.
She was sometime thru the night of the 6th and into the morning of the 7th. Mom and baby are dong just great. Am trying to think of a name(Mom's name is Tom's Sweet Jet and Dad's Name is Kbar Jack) So if you guys come up with anything let me know. Becky I missed downloading the tail picture but will get it as so as I get some things moved into the house today and also will take pictures of my house soon and put them on here. CS
