Hello shutterbug FReepers and photo enthusiasts.
Two weeks ago I started a weekly photography thread with TEXAS WINDMILLS, but last Saturday night my computer crashed, so I had to skip a week. Sorry about that.
The theme now is SUNRISE/DAYBREAK.
I am not usually an early bird, but I have managed to get a few sunrise shots despite my preference to sleep in.
Please post your own favorite sunrise photos here -- not someone else's work, but your very own. No cheating with sunsets.

Those are beautiful sunrises. You are quite the photographer and your timing to take them at the right time is perfect.
Could you please add me to your ping list. Thanks :)

They are beautiful, but watermarks practically ruin it for me.

I have always loved your pictures, given that most are from Texas. TC has some great sunrise photos, if you don't mind a rig or two being included.

Sorry about that. I reduce opacity and try to make them as unobstrusive as possible.

Oh I didn't mean you, specifically... It's when I buy a poster or something.... you see a gorgeous scene, and then a small bill-board in the corner that may as well say "EAT AT JOE'S"... :-)

One of my favorites. I was in San Luis Pass for work and finished up just about sunrise. I took about 15 pictures of the sunrise over the Gulf, but I wasn't impressed with any of them.
I put my camera up and turned to go to the car and saw this rainbow. (does this qualify as a sunrise picture?)

I love the rigs! (see my profile page) Fill up my gas tank, too, please, while you're at it.

YES! Beautiful morning light and a pastel rainbow... a great way to welcome the day... uhh ... or for the day to welcome you. Whatever... Great picture!

Excellent! Sunrises are vastly superior to sunsets.

Thanks for a welcome 'beauty' break on this rather grim day.

Next week I'll have to post a sunset thread to take up your challenging statement!

Good luck! It can be done, but it is not so common to find a great sunset. Something about the clouds is different.
