I propose that we start making and distributing conservative DVDs as a way to reach "TV types" who get most of their news through TV and don't read that much. DVDs are really cheap to manufacture (I believe less than 20 cents apiece, maybe way less) and they can be produced cheaply now with digital camcorders and PC editing.

I'm not sure what copyright laws one might run afoul of doing as you suggest. Certainly copying things like that concert which is being sold in stores would be a big no-no. And with the RIAA willing to sue little children and old people, I'm not sure it is worth the risk.
I hate to be a wet blanket.

Your point is well taken -- using alternative media to get the truth out is always worth at least considering....

I propose that the FCC issue licenses for new TV stations en masse. The stations could only be locally owned by individuals living in the community for a set period of time (like 5 years.) Then in order to protect Independent stations from unfair competition (or something like that),All independent stations are given the right to contract with Hollywood producers for access to the shows that are being run by the networks at the same price that the networks pay. This would effectively put the networks out of business.
Does any of you legal eagles out their know if this could be done by the FCC alone or would they have to have congressional action to do it?
