Giddy up!
Seinfeld? Never heard of it.
I don't know, maybe it's just me. But every time I see an episode of the Honeymooners again, I burst out laughing. Art Carney as Ed Norton to me was the funniest character ever.
Wasn't she married to Mr. Barbra Streisand?
IMO, the WKRP turkey drop episode was one of the funniest things I've ever watched on TV.
I've been using that episode in my tagline.
Not quite Seinfeld, but it ain't bad.
Yeah, she was...but she got smarter and he got dumber.
Don't mention the War!
I don't take any of these lists too seriously. It's all a matter of opinion and many of these shows have BIG TIME generation gaps.
Some of them I never even heard of and many of them I've never seen before.
However, I remember playing "The Bob Game" ( Bob Newhart Show). Anyone else out there ever play it with a bunch of friends?
No, it's recognized that the funniest moment in television was during the Carol Burnett show, in the Gone with the Wind spoof when Carol comes down the stairs in a dress made of her curtains -- with the rod still in shoulders.
LOL
Love this quip too:
(Les Nessman)
It's a helicopter, and it's coming this way. It's flying something behind it, I can't quite make it out, it's a large banner and it says, uh - Happy... Thaaaaanksss... giving! ... From ... W ... K ... R... P!! No parachutes yet. Can't be skydivers... I can't tell just yet what they are, but - Oh my God, Johnny, they're turkeys!! Johnny, can you get this? Oh, they're plunging to the earth right in front of our eyes! One just went through the windshield of a parked car! Oh, the humanity! The turkeys are hitting the ground like sacks of wet cement! Not since the Hindenberg tragedy has there been anything like this!
and what made it even funnier was that it wasn't a visual joke..all you heard was the voice coming over the radio....
Sorry, Mike was a better lead than Joel. The only thing that made the show remotely suffer in the Mike "era" was the mad scientists' leaving. While the skits might have suffered somewhat in quality, the movie jokes got far better with Mike.
