Teaching your kids to be polite on the phone seems to impress so many people. I hear positive comments on this all the time. I try to be extra polite to waitresses, anyone who deals with the public, who knows what their day has been like up to the point they see me. By example is the best way to teach manners. People also tell me that home-schooled kids are more polite. I think this is because we spend so much time together, I would go insane if they were not taught to be more polite than average. I gotta go, I told the girls I'd take them to the library asap and it would be impolite to delay!!

I whole heartedly agree. I am a stickler about manners and being polite, and my daughter knows it.

without getting into a discussion of homeschool vs non-homeschool, I can say my daughter is frequently complimented about her manners, and she is not homeschooled.

Enjoy your trip to the library.
