You can apply the same logic to any business tax, or business expense for that matter.

Please understand, I'm not for this tax, I just am not willing to shoot down this tax bill over it. If you really want something to get worked up over though, the Texas Senate is working on it's own version of the bill which will increase business tax revenue from the $3.5 bil provided in HB3 to $5.5bil according to the Houston Comical

That might be a better place for this energy.

The Senate's plan calls for a lower sales tax and it has not decided whether their "business" tax will be in the form of an income/payroll or franchis tax. If it is the latter, I can't see how you could prefer the House version. I think your priorities are severely misplaced.
