Something about Carrie's look repulsed me that night, and I've cooled toward her ever since.

I can understand that, but I don't think that "JonBenet" look was her idea. Someone probably suggested it and Carrie just went along with it, not realizing how she would look on television.

But in the past 5 weeks or so, I've noticed a more consistent look from Carrie. She seemed to stop bouncing from one look to another and has decided to just be herself.

At any rate, every performer is bound to have a "wardrobe malfunction" every now and again. Remember when Clay Aiken appeared on stage wearing a red leather suit? Simon almost had a heart-attack :)

Good evening, jonny. I posted my longer reply when I came home from lunch earlier. Now am home for the evening and can catch up. You're right, of course. Carrie did begin to update her look after Simon told her she looked "too old," or something to that effect.

No question at all the girl has talent and beauty. No reason why she shouldn't do well, although I'll be interested to see what direction she takes her music after the first obligatory AI CD is out of the way.

It's just that somewhere along the line she lost her appeal for me. It's just one of those things. I'm certainly open to buying her stuff in the future if I like her music, because she certainly does have a lovely voice.
