They can finance the college educations of their children and grandchildren if they don't. A nice, clean-cut, attractive guy and girl, which America saw grow up (so to speak), getting married and living happily ever after? That's a storyline that is worth milking dry, man. Have them sing a well-written love song duet at the wedding ceremony and it will be a #1 smash hit on the charts. America has a love affair with Carrie. They want their daughters to look up to her. They want the best for her and they want to see her happy. They are emotionally invested in this girl. You can't not give the people what they want-- that's dumb.

You know, that's absolutely right. That's one thing this show does for these kids. We learn to love them, and singers trying to break through in more traditional ways don't get that sort of attention from the country. That's a big thing.
You know how I feel about Carrie and Anthony. I'm sure that would be a huge deal for the entire country to watch a love affair between them and see that grow along with their careers.
