I own a clay CD, too. I thought it was a tough competition, and both are quite talented. Their styles were very different, though.
In the end, Reuben won w/ the R&B vote. There just weren't as many Adult Contemporary voters watching.
Clay sold more cd's though.
Now don't get me started on Fantasia! How the hell did she pull it off? That chick has no talent whatsoever -- and she's not even cute.
Someone sabotaging the sound system during one of Diana's numbers in the final seemed to help.
