The more things change at the Vikings, the more they stay the same. I forget, is there anyone on the team who doesn't have a rap sheet?

"A lot of teams do it," said an NFL assistant who once worked for the Vikings. "Everybody can do it. Every team has a guy who takes care of moving the tickets. I'd hate to see it end because coaches have always used that as extra money. Coaches do count on that as a little extra deal. [Team] owners will probably stop doing it now, because they don't have to give us those tickets. "What a bunch of greedy jerks! They need to break the law for even more money? How much is enough?!

"Minnesota head coach Mike Tice is being investigated by the NFL for allegedly heading up and profiting from a Super Bowl ticket-scalping operation within the Vikings organization, a violation of NFL rules that league sources say has been going on for years."
The Vikings have demonstrated that they can't win a Superbowl, what, three times? They might as well at least profit from one.
I have to give the Vikings credit for ridding itself of the cancer known as Randy Moss. Long overdue.

Got news for you. A good buddy of mine plays in the NFL. The players do this as well. Damn near every one of them. In fact, he got a phone call from a guy who was playing in the Super Bowl asking him to sell his tickets. Not saying it's right or wrong (I've never understood why "scalping" is illegal though), just saying it's commonplace among players. Not surprised coaches do it as well.

Rules against ticket scalping akin to saying you can never sell a stock for more than you paid for it.

Tice, if I remember correctly was a big supporter of Bush.
So, maybe we should cut the guy some slack.

So the Fans got tickets from the scalper and Mike made a few bucks. WHY? they must pay hom enough? Must be that the players have brainwashed the coach into DA Life!
