The 1950s thru the mid sixties, IMO. Late sixties & 1970s stunk. Click on the link to see snippets from 1900 thru 1990.

im sure we will get a lot of people on here talking about the 40s and 30s and such...

I liked a few years ago when you could wear a tshirt and jeans (or sweatshirt and jeans) and be just fine. Other than that, I dont know. the 80's sucked and the 90's werent much better....

I loved the fashions of the 40s. The dresses, the hats. Gloves...of course I write this as I sit in my sweats...

I'm not sure t-shirts and jeans are considered "fashion", but a chick in a well fitting pair of Levi's.....

The high water mark of sartorial civilization should be obvious.

I love wearing gray fedoras, so I guess that puts me in the 30's-40's era.

80's, definately.

Leg warmers, half shirts, fishnets, cordoroy ties, parachute pants, lace bows, hightops, etc.

The fashions of the 1940's were among the most glamorous ever.

The Regency period of course!
Empire dresses, pretty hair styles, gorgeous fabrics etc.

Great fashions for those with Sponge-Bob body types :)

Gotta agree with that. Ladies fashions were superb.
And men always wore hats. Very dapper hats. I love to collect them. They're getting hard to find in good condition.
