If there is indeed currently a three-way race for mayor of Los Angeles, there will be a run-off. Assuming Parks and Alarcon are out of the running, and making the somewhat dubious assumption that Walter Moore is in the running, here are the six possibilities:
Villaraigosa - Hertzberg: Villaraigosa might lose
Villaraigosa - Hahn: Villaraigosa might lose
Villaraigosa - Moore: Villaraigosa would probably win
Hertzberg - Hahn: Hertzberg would probably win
Hertzberg - Moore: Hertzberg would probably win
Hahn - Moore: Hahn would probably win
If Parks withdraws and throws his support to Villaraigosa, that would create a major problem.
If Alarcon takes votes away from Villaraigosa, that would be a good thing.
Summary: if you vote for Moore, and by a miracle he makes the run-off, you better hope that he doesn't face Villaraigosa in the run-off.
While Moore is a good candidate, I strongly suggest that you vote for Hahn despite all his faults. If you don't feel comfortable with Hahn, then choose Hertzberg.
Hertzberg would probably lose the runoff because he won't carry the black vote, while Hahn can.
One of the latino candidates, I think villagrosa, is running a lot of ads that make no sense whatsoever. Says something about suing someone. Other weird comments too. I don't want a mayor in Los Angeles whose answer for everything is to sue.
I'm with Hertzberg too, albeit reluctantly.
Not living in the City of L.A., I can't vote for him though.
I think you're referring to Alarcon.
