Helen Caldicott Live on C-Span 2 (Call in and laugh at the leftist)
Posted on 03/06/2005 10:40:53 AM PST by Stultis
She's already been on for quite awhile -- spewing stunningly idiotic, extremist, arrogant nonsense: We are in Iraq to steal the oil, the Bush admin admitts it, we've murdered at least 100,000 (really more like 300,000) half of them children, global warming is a "scientific fact," the radiation from nuclear waste with "detroy evolution," reading her books will enable you to "defeat Dick Cheney in a debate," etc, etc.
The host just said they will have Dr. Delusional on for another 90 minutes.

Her invincible and unbounded sense of self importance is actually making this as funny as it is irritating!

Well, admittedly, I'm spending most of my time with a tivoed epsidoe of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, but occassionally switching back to "Michael Moore in Skirts" just for the laughs.

Think $29.95 for the Ginzu Steak knives PLUS the vegomatic AND the Pocket Fisherman is a good deal?

It's actually quite entertaining. You can see a few of her quotes at the end of the Sunday Talk Show thread. There's 90 minutes left but she'll hardly top herself for astonishingly idiotic comments (for instance, she insists that fundementalists pray for nuclear war---recycles that lie about James Watt). Lectures that all life is sacred, tries to duck when the abortion issue is brought up...Oh, and human life is no more sacred than animal life...
In Depth is a great program for scholars to field questions for three hours but this woman isn't up to it. I've never seen anyone recieve so much negative feed back on this program...

"How many chandaliers does a person need?" "Yes I am for the redistribution of wealth" "The rich should contribute more to causes, like my organization."
Ok, so the top 20% pay 80% of the taxes - isn't that enough? What is enough?
Also, if there were no rich people, she wouldn't have a forum on national television to spew her filth.
To: Stultis
Unreal.
I was not familiar with this person until now. (I was watching BookTV, then came on FR to search for a forum, thankfully you posted.)
What a scary individual.
Pantheist!?!?
Conservationist=Conservative?!?!?
Wholly SH-T

What a self-promoting wench.
How about her vignette on Reagan? This is the most disturbing individual I heard in quite a while.
Cumbaya, everyone.

Yes, true... as long as one knows that there are other FReepers watching and laughing along, too.
For a moment there, I was freaking out that this was going unchecked by some folks with sensibility.
How about the gent from Alabama (with an Indian accent), blasting her about redistribution and calling out Khmer Rouge, Soviet Union, etc. and how their health care was such that you wouldn't take your dog to it.
Now she is blasting the religious feelings of the majority of Americans and calling them practicing psychic numbing.

Someone on FR said she is "Michael Moore in a skirt"... yes, very close. Only she is also hiding behind her ozzie accent and her title of MD.

A scary blend of enough scientific knowledge and activism to be dangerous in pushing your political agenda.
