I saw it last in 1974. Already surrounded by much larger buildings.I only had eyes for the Space Needle.

Roger that. It's a dwarf (sic) in Seattle now. And heck, in 1960 the Space Needle was still just a blueprint. That's about when they started building it.
Now the Needle is dwarfed by lots of perfectly ordinary buildings, and a few extraordinary ones. The skyline, viewed from Alki beach across the water at sunset is, however, breathtaking.
