Heh...and you could bring your hugh Bush/Cheney banner from the pasture...
heh... saw that. Makes me wanna go there just to make trouble.
LOL, elf-boy says, "that's not The Eye..."
Yikers Rosie... but if the deal was for cash... the deal was for cash. If they wanna self-refi later that's their problem? Just thinkin'.
That's what *I* thought...but I guess my realtor said they were going to request that I give them more time. Hopefully just a few days...but otherwise I dunno what I'll do. The contract said the sale wasn't dependent on waiting for financing!
Unfortunate. While its technically a breach and you could void the sale... of course you don't wanna do that, and they know that...
That's about what she said - that technically I *could* take their deposit and then put the house back on the market, but of course that's NOT a way to go.
So I can't really do much about it. They have to present the request in writing, and it's possible this'll still go through on-time. Even if it doesn't, for NOW, they said they're still hoping for the 17th or 18th.
On the bright side...if it goes through on the 17th, that'll give me yet another excuse to party...
~If~ it's delayed beyond the time you have employment, perhaps you have recourse to charge them extra for hardship expense... I'd ask about ALL your options before agreeing. You don't need to abuse them, but you can't afford to be nice at your expense either. A thousand bucks for every week delay ;~D
Oh, good evening...
They *do* have the option of still paying cash, and then arranging a mortgage as a refi on their own, basically just cashing themselves back out.
Good point. You don't have to be a doormat in order to be fair.
At this point it's likely to just be a few days. But I'm whining anyway. ;-)
The following is his e-mail to me.
Hey mother I called you at work yesterday but you were away from your desk. I went into the heart of Baghdad yesterday. There were about 4 explosions but nothing directed at my convoy. The country is so dirty, not sanitary at all. I have great pictures to send you. Tell everybody I love them. And I received the knife and some shears. They are very nice. I have to find the time to write a letter to thank them and let them know how much I appreciate them. Love u mom.
Again thank you guys, it is wonderful to know that there are people in the world like you. Keep up the good work and deeds. May God bless all of you.
I'm still being told to be out by the day before the original closing date...no luck there! ;-) I hope I can manage it. I thought I had everything set, but the closer I get the more stuff I seem to discover lurking in corners and under stairs and such.
If you put a price on it, you might ensure that it isn't a longer delay than necessary on ~their~ part.
Glad to see our knives finding good homes! :-)
Nobody likes a stray knife.
True!
Well, the official request for extension hasn't come in yet. I guess I shouldn't really be worrying until then.
~smiles~
We're all so proud of your son and fellow soldiers, TexKat!
Prayers continue for their safety and quick return. :-D
Evenin' folks!
