Still round the corner there may wait |

Home is behind, the world ahead, |

The funeral this afternoon was a Catholic mass. A new experience for me. Well sorta. The only other Catholic funeral I've been to was all in Korean.
Question. My Catholic co-worker beside me said the Priest ~should have~ invited everyone to partake in communion. He did not. I know some non-Catholics did partake but most didn't. Was my friend wrong? I've always thought (perhaps been taught) that Protestants couldn't/shouldn't take communion in the Catholic church (I think the couldn't was on our end, the shouldn't on the Catholic end). Either way, Corin was a bit confused.
Still it was a lovely tribute to her life. I didn't know her, but I sorta felt like I did afterwards.
And Suzi, it hit even closer to home. I was wrong about her being in her early 50s (I think he is). She was 48.
Evenin' evellybody...
The priest would not invite non-catholics to the communion, I wound'nt think. Same with other denominations, really. I think it would be disrespectful to take communion if I don't share the doctrine of that organization.
Not so much that it would be wrong for me to do it, but that it would be disrespectful of me towards them. I'm not saying that very well.
shoot.
chicken...
heh...
heckuva day... turkey season opened tuhday... 0430 reville...
had 9 gobblers struttin' in front of me at 0700... with that many eyes its hard to make a move... one came intuh range (35 yards) and I took a shot... I don't know how, but he didn't go down... obviously, the others were outta there... tracked him fer a half hour tuh be sure, didn't find nuthin...
moved to anuther spot, and by 0830, had two comin' in, actually called 'em in from a ridge and across a creek... no an easy task... gettin' ready tuh close the deal when a third gobbler slipped in behind me and busted me... all in all, a great day of huntin', even without a turkey hangin' on the hook...

picked up the turkey tail mount from the Fall bird, shu-weet...

Hey howdy there Rutheeeee! :-) [sip]
Thinking about a flying fish hunting expedition. Ride along the inside edge of the Gulf Stream with my Mossberg, loaded up with no 6, I think, and wait for the flying fish to come up. Knocking them down from a moving boat ought to be a challenge.
Hi, Ruthy.
Hah! That would be a hoot! :-)
They're quick little buggers, those flying fish.
Howdy backatcha, Ramius!
I heard "Come Monday" today and it reminded me of WeddingMoot.
IIRC, that song was playing when the seaplane took off with our newlyweds. :-D
Hi Sam!
If you and the Mrs aren't busy this weekend, I'll be at Black Point again this Saturday night.
I'd love to see ya! Trini will be there too.
It was! It then ended up as the background music for the video that Dad has. [snif] It was just beautiful man... [snif]... :-)
BUBBLIN' BUBBA - After one sip, you'll recall you had money one time.
