Bart Starr? That's pretty nifty. On one my innumerable flights between SEA and SFO I discovered that sitting a few rows ahead of me was Terry Bradshaw. He was in First Class, and I wasn't. Funny that...
I was between planes at O'Hare, on my way to interview for a job at a nuclear plant in Chillicothe, Ohio. I was offered the job, BTW, but I turned it down.
Mmmm... Pizza...
Darn, I'm up too late. Good night!
Yah... time for me to be outta here too.
Niters....
I'm back.
~hic~
Going to bed....
That's the one I have. Ordered a bunch of 'em for the cannon cockers of 3/8 FA in'89 or so, and kept one. NSN 7340-00-098-4327.
"Fever Pitch" was cute - turned out to be a bit of a chick flick. But I must say that if you're not a Red Sox addict or are married to one, you won't *get* a lot of the little scenes - like "Sweet Caroline," the dirt dogs, and the beach ball. :)
I really identified with the Barrymore character because the lead character could be Big'ol_freeper. ie - Big'ol TiVo'd the game last nite so we could go to the movie & started watching the game at 0630 this morning! His closet is full of jerseys (in four colors); he gets 'cowboyed up' to watch a game - straight out of the movie. It was great.
Big'ol found a movie mistake: in one of the earlier scenes at Fenway that is supposedly early in the season, an extra is wearing a jacket that wasn't issued until the world series. *sigh* I really liked that "Tessie" was a big part of the soundrack. If you haven't heard the Dropkick Murphy's version you're missing out. I was singing along in the back of the theater.
Mornin'
Sun's up. It's a purty day out there. Gonna drag Jr's butt outta bed to help me pile these leaves in the truck. It's what he's doing this mornin' to get to go to Kings Dominion with his girlfriend and some other friends. It was that or take Luke.
Still, although it's the first non-rainy warm Saturday in months, I'll be held hostage for a while by someone else's schedule. I'll make it work. Luke can just stay in his car seat whilst I unload the truck at the landfill.
Gotta go. Gonna mulch. Gonna plant.
Gonna get real dirty.
mmmmmmm....dirt...

My mom's dad's dad :D
Just told Big'ol that - he say's "Cool!" (and knew who Hooper was - and is currently reciting the names of everyone else from that era. My eyes have glazed over.)
mmmmm....glazed....
We're in a parental holding pattern here. Luke was not up and dressed after Jr. and I loaded the truck with leaves (that wuz thuh deal). And it looks like ~at least~ two trips with leaves. Maybe three.
mmmm dirt :-)
Good Morning - nice morning; Gypsygirl has been walked and theshire is peaceful. We're heading out shortly for a visit with LSA's sister and husband - we're meeting halfway. :-)
Tulips are up and starting to bloom, the hostas are breaking through, surprisingly, the dafodills are still looking nice.
Supposed to rain tomorrow through wednesday but hope the weatherweenies are wrong 'bout tommorrow; still got mulching to do. Still too early to plant the cannas... sigh. Need more columbines...
You like Dropkick Murphy's?
Ya know...one of these days we're gonna hafta compare music lists. You've introduced me to a LOT of good stuff. Speaking of which...on our first trip to Borders here, I got me a Madeline Peyroux CD. Still haven't had time to listen to all of it yet. Have to be in the right mood, for one.
Good morning! Glorious day here, from what I can tell. Cool, clear - not a cloud in the sky. We may or may not go hiking, though, since thunderstorms are supposed to come up later, especially in the area we were planning to go. Alternative plan is to go to Denver to the Tattered Rag (?) - the big book store - stopping for Popeye's either on the way there or on the way back.
I'm feeling a little overwhelmed at all the newness, but I suppose the only way to get past that stage is to get out. ;-)
Ooh, ooh - and I did get a phone! After driving Margaret nuts sitting here for quite awhile with my Firefox tabs on a bunch o' different companies and plans, I decided on Verizon. Got a LG phone with a nifty color screen. I like it - can't wait to try it out today, since I have unlimited weekends. *And* having a phone number again means I can apply for some jobs. I found one at the local hospital that looks promising. It's more or less secretarial, but with a lot of computer work involved. Keepin' my fingers crossed...the pay is good and it'd be an easy bus trip and nice hours.
Sounding good, Rosie!!
Good morning all!
BIG NEWS! Yesterday, in the car, Joshua was eating a Go-gurt (yogurt in a plastic tube, you know?) and he got the tube stuck between his two bottom teeth (don't ask me how, I don't know). So he pulled it out. Then he says "Well, that's it for that tooth!" He popped his right bottom tooth right out! It wasn't really even loose, cause I'd just checked them a day or so before! But it musta been almost ready.
It bled more than Matthew's ever did, but not too bad.
Steve's at work...has a "pollution collection event". Where people bring things that still have good use but they can't throw them out. Chemicals, cleaners and such... Lord knows what he'll be coming home with.
Good morning.
Yeah...at first I didn't know if I liked 'em or not, but now I find it hard to function without 'em!
Hooray! We have a coffee maker this morning! And Starbucks beans were relatively cheap at the Super Wal-mart. Life is sooo, sooo good!
Congratulations, Joshua!! ;-)
Man...seems like he was just a baby not much more than a few months ago. Time flies!
Morning, Lil.
Tell Big 'ol that my cousins have season's tickets down the third baseline at Fenway. They used to be in the second row but I think they put in two more rows in front of them. Went to see a game with them once. I was sitting right behind the ball guy. Lucky no one lined one down that way that night (Hey! It's the Red Sox.)
