Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And take the hidden paths that run...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I hope not. If the tank explodes, it'll be a real mess with all that sand!

Trinity site is open this weekend. I'm bummed that I'm missing it again. They open it for tours for one day in Oct and one day in April.

Hiya, XGI!
A turd is a turd in my book. The fact that it was human just increases the "ick" factor.
Worse yet, with my luck, I would have been trailing my hand in the water at that very moment. Eeeew!

I think we should throw Teddy Kennedy in there. Sharks will eat, perish of alcohol poisoning and Ted is crab food.
Everyone wins!

Yup, we splurged a little and got the DVD last weekend... the short is on the 2nd disk (along with a commentary and a short documentary about the guy who wrote and directed the short.)

Liability, I'm sure. I doubt radiations levels would be a series problem, but like with asbestos, hysteria makes lawyers rich...
To: RMDupree
Um, I seem to recall a certain story about projectile.... POOH! Or do I have you totally confused with someone else??? Ack!

I've heard the same thing about Venice, though I've also heard that they've started cleaning things up a bit. I'll wait.
I'm more into Rome, for the history parts, but then out to the coast for Naples or Palermo. The Company is thinking about an office in Milan. That wouldn't suck, really. :-)

I'd like to do a moot of some kind some time at Gettysburg, which I visited two (!) years ago.
1. It's not vey spendy (if you don't mind camping or, at most, cabins).
2. A coupla months in advance is enough. Perhaps too much.
3. Meals are your most spendy item. A lot less so if you get 'em at the groshry instead of touristy restaurants (tho you want at least one meal at this one particular place...)
4. Age (small, large or super-sized) isn't an issue.
5. Who needs to pay for a tour guide when you have meeeee!

It's a terrific movie. It was the first time I'd seen it since I missed it in the theatres.
The short was great. I coulda watched more of that story.

Brilliant! (and that's right close by!)
May I recommend Spring or Fall? Summer gets vey hot - even though that's when the re-enactments are.
To: Lil'freeper
*shudder*
That was less of a turd and more of a spray. The goes under the title of "poop is poop".

I still use my favorite Pentax P3n for the important stuff.
