Nope, they haven't returned and I guess they have relocated. Strange- I was only gone for a week. After feeding them for years and this is it? No notes. Not even any droppings. So sad. I do have an Woodpecker that I can't quite id. She has been eating the apples I put out for my erstwhile friends. The WP looks like a Red Bellied but is darker and has no red belly, nor any red marking on the back of her noggin. Possibly a Flicker but I'm not sure.

That's really odd Dysart, that they didn't come back yet. It won't be long until they come back or new birds come. I think it's so strange though. Here's a picture of Flicker. I see them here. I adore them. Is this the bird? Certainly not the best shot but it shows front and back.
