I am excited. I walked out the front door a little while ago to see a beautiful bird perched on the birdbath. Couldn't tell exactly what it was, but it was a hawk or falcon of some kind. Things got mighty quiet in my yard for awhile after that. One squirrel almost looked like he was frozen upside down in the Tulip Tree for about 10 minutes...and not another bird in sight. Funny how they know when there is a predator about. Mixed blessing though. Makes me worry about the baby bunny I've actually gotten to eat from my hand.

I know. I have a love hate relationship with the Hawks. They are so impressive and beautiful but . I hope your bunny will be alright. How big was this bird? BlueJay Size/Crow size?

Wow! The Rabbit is eating from your hand. That's has to be the best! It truly is amazing how the birds know of a predator in the area.
